Mikel, Nolan and I slept like logs Saturday night. Sunday morning, Nicole and Kevin met us at a little hole-in-the-wall cafe for a quick brunch before they had to head to Phoenix to catch their flight.
I swear - I look at these pictures and pinch myself that we were actually sitting at breakfast with them!

After bidding the Dufendachs a fond farewell until next time, the Hubanks fam opted to make the most of our morning away and we headed to see the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Poised on a super high ledge, it lends itself to a spectacular scene ---
including a grand view of the infamous mansion at 503 Chapel Road.
(Hey Council - let's chip in on this place for a girls' weekend, what say you??)
"Great idea!!"
I digress --
The chapel is what we came to see...
It doesn't look like much from the exterior -
- but the interior is something to behold. Again - a nod to truth in an openly wayward culture.
Nolan asking to "touch touch touch".
The scene upon exiting the chapel
Truly something to behold in person.

And lastly we ventured to Sedona's shopping district for a little dose of tourism and some lunch.
Who doesn't love a shaded, open air, mountain view lunch in February?!
Playing one of his new favorite games: We say "bonk" and he ever-so-gently touches his forehead to the nearest surface. Quite the party trickster.
Of course, we couldn't pass up some ice cream on our way out (my weakness!)
Headed home - ice cream in hand!
See you next time, Sedona -- and THANK YOU, Nicole and Kevin, for letting us join you on your wonderful vacation! We miss you always and love you dearly.

I vote YES to that big pad. Also, you needed Bill and Steph there to do 99Cent mimosas with you! Glad for all your visitors!
