A couple of weeks ago (pre-haircut, as you'll see), Nolan and I got to hook up with Allison Merrick and her kiddos on a trip to the Phoenix Children's Museum. Allison is dear Kara's sister-in-law, and I sooo enjoy any chance to hang out with her.
The Children's Museum is ENORMOUS. In almost 2 hours, we barely saw a fraction of what there is to do there
Nolan and Evie -- so fun to watch them parallel play in such similar ways
Rowan is a fun big brother - and he was ready to show Nolan the ropes of driving the pencil car!
This museum worker's funny shoes were Nolan's favorite attraction by far.
I feel your pain, Allison. These want-to-walk not-quite-walkers are a lot of physical work!
All about stacking lately.
This is known as the "noodle forest" -- a bunch of pool noodles suspended from the ceiling. I admit -- it was fun (and dizzying) to walk through!
After the fun, we were all ready for lunch. Allison knows all the hip places to eat, and took us to this foodie dive in downtown Phoenix. It was wonderful!

Allison - thanks for inviting us along - and for snagging the culture passes so our entry was free! We always love hanging out with you guys.

A couple of days later, Mikel was off and we got to spend a little time playing on the train park's playground. And by playground, I mean go down the toddler slide over. and over. and over. and over. It's Nolan's favorite, and he is so proud every time!
It's a popular place on a Saturday. I'm here to tell you: AZ wintertime is where it's at.

Big boy wants to do it by himSELF
Don't know who the random kid on Mikel's leg is, but -- Love you guys.

Great pics...looks like a super fun museum!
