We are privileged to be part of the same church family as Dennis and Karen Whitaker - a dear couple who were kind enough to invite us to their home last weekend to spend some time together and meet their beautiful horses. Nolan and I had such a great time. It's always fun to do something different, but it's especially rewarding to see your child behold something for the first time -- even at this young of an age. He was pretty mesmerized!
Such a picturesque place. Can you imagine living with this postcard-worthy backyard??
We came prepared with apples and carrots, which made us the life of the party!
Karen just loves working with these horses - and it's easy to see that she loves sharing them with others. She takes beautiful care of them.
Nolan was more interested in Dennis' moustache than anything!

I think he thought they were odd-looking wiener dogs.
Our only regret is not taking the Whitakers up on their offer to visit sooner.
