Well, hey there, 6 months!
Where has the time gone?? Amazing. That's the only word for how quickly it's flown and how many abundant blessings have poured into our lives in that time through this tiny little boy.
We couldn't use our usual photo spot because, of course, we are in the apartment and the chair is in Phoenix -- so Khaki had to stand in for the teddy bear. She was pretty willing!
Matching expressions.
Buds.
His newest move: the hip-thrust-scootch-down.
Whoops!

Nolan, at 6 months:
- You are getting closer to sitting up on your own.
- You prefer to stand up whenever possible -- and your legs are super strong!

Sporting the cowboy boots Carolyn sent us in front of the quilt Anna sent us. We love them both!

With our dear friends, Lindsay and Mark, who just announced they are expecting their first baby!
- You are a belly sleeper. Have been your whole life.
- You still don't seem to care about rolling over. You've rolled belly to back only twice that we've witnessed -- though I've found you in your crib a couple of times having flipped over, too.
-You love bath time. It's part of your daily bedtime routine, and your dad is usually the one to give you a bath. You kick and splash and have a great time.
- You're a relatively slim little guy - for now! At your check up, you weighed 15lbs, 14oz.
That's 25th percentile for weight, and you were about 60th for length.
- We just started solid foods and you are a champ. More on that later -- but bananas and prunes mixed together is your favorite.
- You cut your first tooth on June 10th. It's the lower left front tooth - just starting to peek through.
- As has always been true, your dad gets the biggest laughs out of you. You guys just adore each other, and it's fantastic to watch!
- You still prefer your eat-wake-sleep cycle that we established when you were little bitty. You eat about every 3 hours and take 30-40 min naps in between -- that means we get lots of play time during the day. You love to ride around in the ergo, watch Khaki and Scarlett play fetch, and go to new places or be around new people.

My view when you're in the ergo. :)
- You are super quick to hand out smiles.
- You like to stick out your tongue and do a fake cough. You think it's hilarious - and so do we!
- You typically sleep 8-10 uninterrupted hours at night. Thank you!!! You often go down for good around 8:30 or 9, and sleep till 6:30 or 7. You always wake up smiley and ready for the day. It makes me extra happy to see you!
- And this silly look is your new face.
We can't say it enough: You make it easy to love you.
We continually praise God for blessing us with you, precious boy.
