Mokie in AZ!

*Mar 30-31

My entire life, I have been blessed with meaningful, sweet relationships with my grandparents.  Mokie (my mom's mom) got to visit us for 24 hours last spring, and it was great!  Some of her best friends from Lubbock (Billie and Mary Nell) winter here with their husbands, so she spent a short window of time at our house and then several days seeing them.  We were willing to share her only because we knew we would be heading up to see her in Colorado a few weeks later --- luckily for Billie and Mary Nell! :)

Enjoying lunch outside.  Between Mokie and Nolan, we can really put away some Sonic!

 Love this lady.
She knows her way to Nolan's heart...

 Books!!

 More books!
 Aaaaaaand.....
 CARS!  Jackpot, Mokie.
We just enjoyed relaxing here at home.  Mokie looked at books with Nolan and was pretty much willing to do whatever he wanted.  They are a great pair!

The next day, we met Billie and Mary Nell at the nearby Kierland shopping area for lunch - to say hello, and to hand Mokie off.  It was really lovely.  We all walked around a bit after lunch, and Nolan spied the splash pad, which had only just been turned on for the season.  Before I could say "no way", he was in the middle of it -- and having a ball.  Choose your battles, right?
This ended in Nolan being stripped to his diaper for the ride home.  What fun!
Springtime bunnies made out of faux grass and flowers.  Mokie thought they were cute enough to warrant a photo - and I agree!
We are really lucky that she could make the visit to Phoenix.  I *hope* when I'm 87 that I am as spry as she!  We LOVE and miss you, Mokie.
