Happy Easter!

We had a lovely Easter!  Mikel was off for the weekend, I made my mom's delicious sausage egg bake for breakfast (which is fittingly sinful on a day when we celebrate our salvation....), and we enjoyed a lovely service at church before heading to the Stewarts' house for a feast (thanks for having us, Chris and Kelly!).
I thought dearly and longingly of our loved ones celebrating in grandeur at Calvary, but gave thanks indeed for such a blessed day.

Cheerios and raisins were the egg contents of choice this year

A little unsure of the "happy and you know it" clapping bunny Gram sent....
...Guess maybe it's not so scary?
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!

How is it that a perfect Savior loved us enough to walk as God and man, suffer supremely on our behalf, and be raised again so that we might share in his Victory for eternity?  Truly, it is more than I can grasp.  Thank You, Jesus, for our salvation and for crossing the gap that we never could by paying a price we would never afford.

He is risen!!
And so we have everlasting JOY.
