February catch up

So, I'm seeing that it's helpful to update one's blog routinely instead of sitting down and trying to do a ton at once...  But with the babe, travel, and prep for house marketing, I'm struggling to get the hang of it.
That said, here are some favorites from February that I have to include.

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping babe?

Fun with friends!
Some of our besties, Anna and Mike-L, sent Nolan this cute panda rattle in honor of the Chinese New Year (they are living and working as missionaries in Taiwan).  He was all played out, so cutie pie Sophia put it to good use.

Ice Social in downtown Rochester. It was a short-lived outing - our blood has thickened since living in Minnesota, but this night was waaaay too cold to be enjoyable.  At least Nolan was nice and toasty under his carseat cover.

Someone wakes up like his mama -- slow and grouchy...

 But he comes around eventually!

How could something this sweet....
.....do THIS?!??!
This pic doesn't do justice, but little Evelyn Dufendach makes Nolan look like a beast!
Everyone told me, but I didn't fully understand: it's really incredible how quickly they grow and change,

We all enjoyed a Valentine's Day get together at Nicole's house. Babes in order of age --
McKinley, 4mo  (Kamber)
Nolan, 2.5mo
Evelyn, 3wk   (Nicole)
Reed, 2wk  (Julia)
Valentine's Day isn't complete without a little hand-holding.  :)
And my two handsome Valentines surprised me with this beautiful Willow Tree figure.
Just another day at the Schmitt House.
No children were harmed in this making of this picture. I'm not so sure about Mikel.

Flapdoodles.  Our local homemade ice cream shop.
A few of us moms have developed something of a pact: When kids get shots, moms get Flapdoodles.
This day it was KcKinley's turn to get shots, but lots of moms benefited from the pact and turned up to support Kamber and McKinley.  Aren't we selfless??

Last month, Mikel generously allowed me to get a membership the RAC where Nolan could enter their childcare as young as 6 weeks.  He does great there, and I love getting to have my "me time" and work out.  We all agree -- it's money well spent.
The childcare area only accepts the little babes starting at noon every day, so that means we have lots of protected time in the mornings ------ my favorite because it often means extra time to snuggle.  :)   I'm trying to really treasure these quiet mornings before our house goes on the market and they are more likely to get interrupted -- or at least be spent cleaning...

And few shots of the pups for fun...

This is a shot of our beloved pup kennel -- It's a Dog's Life.  The gals' home away from home.

Mirrors are so fun!

The evolution of the lip:

Nailed it.

I made the same face when I open our hospital bill:

(What do people do without insurance?!)

Along that vein, I shot this video to send to Carolyn after she gushed about how cute Nolan is.

"Well hey there, Left Hand..."
Play date with Isla.  (Don't tell McKinley --- or Evelyn!)

I simply adore this red hair.
